Sunday Currently | 09

This is such a fun-filled Sunday. Had a lil chit-chat with my bestfriend and sobrang epic lang ng mga hanash today. Sobrang epic lang pag kaming dalawa ang magkasama. Anyways, here’s my entry for Sunday Currently. It’s been a while though.

CURRENTLY

READING
All the tweets from the VP debate. Talagang everyone is participating in this #PilipinasDebates2016. The power of social media. So happy that there is something like this, para mas makilala pa ng mga tao kung sino ba talaga ang karapat-dapat para sa posisyon sa gobyerno. Wag tayong sumabay sa kung ano ang uso, dun tayo sa totoo.

WRITING
Sunday Currently 09. 😊

LISTENING
To Jessica Soho, technically our TV is on while I’m writing this blog post so since di naman ako nanonood, pinapakinggan ko na lang ang mga featured stories sa KMJS.

THINKING
Ano ba magandang negosyo? Yung maliit lang muna. My bestfriend and I keep thinking on what kind of business should we put up and until now, wala pa din kami maisip. Of course, we have to consider lot of things; capital, market, accessibility, visibility. But we’re damn serious in putting up one.

SMELLING
The coffee’s aroma I’m sipping right now. Hindi makokompleto ang araw ko kung hindi ako makakatikim ng kape. Bisyo ko na to.

WISHING
To finally meet Alden and Maine. PLEASE. Since AlDub started, I already included this on my bucketlist. Yung makita sina Maine at Alden up close, makapagpa-picture and all. Makapag-fangirl ng sagad!

HOPING
To finally enroll this year for masteral’s degree. Sobrang dapat mapush ko na talaga to this 2016.

WEARING
The ordinary; old shirt and pajamas.

LOVING
My new schedule. 11 working hours for four days and then three rest days. Fri-Sat-Sun. S-A-R-A-P!!!

WANTING
New shoes. Probably new converse shoes or running shoes. But I’m considering more to have running shoes instead coz I want to start a healthy lifestyle. Running shoes for me to be fit, for jogging and exercising. (Chos!)

NEEDING
Nicholas Sparks’ new book ‘See Me’. Grabe hindi sya available sa Batangas at sobrang nasa-sad ako. Sana naman magkaroon na sa bookstore dito.

FEELING
Happy and blessed.

That’s it for me today. How about you guys, how’s your Sunday going?

Sunday Currently | 08

It’s been a while since I posted the last edition of my sunday currently, mainly because these past few days, I don’t feel like writing. And here I am, on the mood to express myself and assess what’s going on in my life right now. ☺

Currently

Reading
‘The Edge of Winter’ by Luanne Rice, I’m trying to read new books, aside from the books written by Nicholas Sparks. Last week I read ‘Heartbeat’ by Danielle Rice, yeah, the story is quite good but it’s way too predictable (not my kind of story) and now a book written by Luanne Rice. I’m on the 8th chapter now and so far, I’m enjoying it.

Writing
my sunday currently edition 08.

Listening
Come On Get Higher by Matt Nathanson!! Playlist is on shuffle and it’s playing now. This song is one of my favorites, it’s just giving me a kilig feeling. 😍 Everytime I hear this song, all I can see is a couple getting married in a beach, sunsets, flowers. This song reminded me of love. ❤

Thinking
My long term goal is finally happening, we are renovating our home. Little by little, we’re gonna have our dream house. It’s not mansion like or something so grand, we just fixing it the way we want it.

Wishing
Adventures please! Travel please! Now I wanted to pursue Sagada and Sombrero Island.

Hoping
For a lot of things. Be it big or small I’m hoping to make it happen. Let me just give you a glimpse on what I’m hoping for, hope to have our home fully furnished, hope that my brother is doing fine, hope that I can start my short traing in baking, hope that I can start my masters as well. Urghhhh!!! And a lot more!!

Wearing
My usual pantulog. Hehe

Loving
Sam Smith and his songs. Ngayon ko lang sya naappreciate. 😁

Wanting
Iced Mocha and Oreo Cheesecake.

Needing
Massage and vacation. Haha

Feeling
Happy ang blessed. HAPPY AND BLESSED.

Thank you Lord for endless and countless blessings. Thank you for loving me and my family. Thank you everything. God speed!

Our Great North Escapade

My forever soul sisters had our 3-day tour in Ilocos, and I must say that was way too awesome, not just because of the beautiful places we’ve been to while we are in Ilocos but rather it is the moments and the laughter we shared together.

Hahaha Really, one of the books!

In this great Ilocos Tour we visited Bantay Church and Bell Tower (St. Agustine Church) and Baluarte ni Chavit Singson. I was totally amazed sa Baluarte, you can find all kinds of animals even the endangered ones. And of course, we had a glimpse to the famous Chavit’s tiger. I just found out that Chavit is one hell of a licensed hunter, so once you got to the museum, you’ll gonna see all the preserved heads of the animals he killed.

c360_2015-11-27-09-14-02-006.jpg

We had our breakfast at Jerry’s Restaurant wherein we first tasted their specialty, bagnet.

We also pay a visit to Marcos Museum and Marcos Mauseleum and Malacanang Ti Amianan. Going to Paoay Church is also part of the itinerary.

One of the activities we had is Sand Dunes, it is just optional: 500 per person for the activity fee, and since andito na din naman kami and we’re here for adventure and fun, we grabbed the chance. Sand dunes pa more!! It was a thrilling experience! We screamed, we laughed! Kahit masakit ang katawan namin after, okay lang.

On our second day, we went to Pagudpud, na sobrang lakas ng hangin, sobrang lakas ng alon. We never know na malalas at malaki ang alon sa Pagudpud that time, so mega tampisaw kami, and then bang! Big waves are coming!!! Sa pagtakbo ko, naiwan yung tsinelas ko, and I was like ‘kukunin ko pa ba, sobrang lakas ng alon, mababasa ako’, but I have to get my freakin’ slippers!!! So Tinay and I struggled the big waves for the sake of my precious slipper. Ayun basa! Aliw lang. Haha And yes, I got my slipper back. Lol We also went to Cape Bojedor, Kapurpurawan Rock Formation, eto sobrang epic ang pagpunta namin dito, sa Kapurpurawan meron ding mga windmills, so sa sobrang excitement namin sa windmills hindi namin napagtuunan ng pansin ang rock formation. Hahaha And then the Bangui Windmill. Gusto sana naming maachieve ang jump shot dito, pero wala eh, epic fail ang mga jump shots! 😂😂 Before we go back to hotel, the last place we visited on our second day is Bantay Abot Cave. Sobrang ganda ng view. Perfect! Perfect! 👌👌

On our last day, Vigan it is! So oras na para bumili ng pasalubong after roaming around. And we also take our chance for the Kalesa ride. Hihi

fb_img_1448851777566.jpg

So there, sobrang saya ng getaway na to with Angel and Tinay. Sobrang worth it. And this tour is also powered by Triple 8 Travel Agency! Thank you guys for making our Ilocos tour such an amazing and memorable one. Till our next destination!

P.S it should have been posted right after the tour, but the internet connection is not cooperating that time, and then I became busy because of holiday season, kaya ngayon lang sya mapapapost! 😁

How’s Life Entry Vol.03

image

It’s been a month since my last blog post and since 2015 is about to end here is my How’s Life Entry Vol.03. Let me take a look how’s my life been this year.

1. Rate your Life:
4/5 stars

2. Reason for Rating:
Well I can say that this year has been awesome, however I just rate  4 out of 5 since there are still some  flaws and down moments. Personally I enjoyed 2015 so well, I have a fine job, good friends, I got time to have fun and relax although when it comes to my family, there are some not so happy instances (but let me keep mum about it). So there. 🙂

3. Happy memories from the past days:
There’s been a lot of happy memories for this year 2015. I can say that this year is about having fun and enjoying life to the fullest. This is the year I achieved my first trekking ever in Gulugod Baboy, enjoyed one of the beaches in Quezon and attended the famous Pahiyas festival in Lucban. I’ve been to Kamay ni Hesus as well this year. One of the unforgettable moments also for this year is that me and my girl squad checked in a hotel room just to watched Ang Tamang Panhon. Hihi And of course, how I can forget the highlight of my life for this year, I just watched the concert of my favorite band ever, Maroon 5!! Such an amazing night!  Really, dreams do come true! And this is also the first time I got  to travel with my soul sisters. We had our great North escapade! Awesome, awesome year!

4. Things you’ve Learned over the past days:
Words do matter. Alam mo yun, kung may gusto ka, be it long term goals, life long dreams, sulat mo lang and eventually it will come true! Yun ang opinyon ko. :))) And if you think you can, you can! Always have the courage to begin and moved on. Always have a happy heart. Believe in yourself and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you needed.

5. Things/People you’re starting to like:
This year I did enjoy every Saturday shift, sobrang petiks lang. I enjoy snapchatting. 🙂 And this year, Alden and Maine really took my heart away. I have already known Alden as one of the GMA artist, yun lang, not until ALDUB came along. When ALDUB was born, nagkaroon ako ng pakialam kay Alden, I stalked his twitter and Instagram accounts. LOL That goes with Maine as well, I searched every single detail for this girl, her social media accounts, even her blog, and she writes so damn well. So this year, sila ang minahal ko ng bongga.

6. Quote You Live By:
“Life is beautiful, you just have to know where to look.”

7. Achievements & Compliments You Have Received:
Accomplishments and achievements…. Hmmm let me see.. I do have a journal and I remembered that at the back of it I listed 100 things to do, and the last time I checked, I achieved some of those. Mga short term goals pa lang naman ang may checkmark  pero at least diba? Little by little, maachieve ko din yun lahat. Keep the faith. Major accomplishment for this year is being the top associate in our line of business for the month of August.. I’m so happy!

8. Current Favorite Song:
Wipe Your Eyes by Maroon 5 and Sayo by Silent Sanctuary.

9. What’s taking your time nowadays:
As usual, reading books, reading random blogs, watching kalyeserye, browsing the net.

10. Plans for the next days:
This coming 2016, I have a lot of plans at sana naman magawa ko silang lahat. I’m planning to take short courses in line to my field of specialization. I want to start a healthy living as much as I can, yes to exercise and no to fast-food chains. Please!!! I’m also planning to push the idea of starting a small business together with my best friend. Hoping for all these things to happen,

If years 2015 is all about concert and hang outs, I’m making sure that this 2016 it will be more productive. This 2016,, it will be better version of me, more responsible one especially in handling money. 2016 will be a blast!

Someday…

Someday, someone will just come along and make you his world.

Someday, someone will just come along to accept and love the whole you, -your imperfections, your flaws, your mood swings, your crazy antics, your laugh, the way you dress, the way you fix your hair.

Someday, someone will just come along to know every bit of you, -the taste of coffee you like, the kind of music you listen to, your favorite band, your obsession to butterflies, your love to oceans.

Someday, someone will just come along who shares the same thoughts and perspectives like yours.

Someday, someone will just come along to build dreams and hopes for you.

Someday, someone will just come along to take the risk and get lost with you.

Someday, someone will just come along to complete the single piece in your life that was missing for so long.

Someday, someone will just come along who has the same heartbeat as yours.

Someday, someone will just come along to call you your own.

Someday, someone will just come along………someday.

I’m consistently loving Saturday shift, yun nga lang, medyo nahahassle ako umuwi pagdating ng Sunday morning. And dameng tao, ang dameng pasahero, umuulan pa kanina. *sigh*

Anyhow, it doesn’t change the fact that Sunday is still my favorite. Ang dameng reasons why I love Sunday. Mas masarap ang lutong bahay ng inay kasi syempre palengke day hihi, kompleto ang la familia, may time pa para gumawa ng gala, hahaha

And kanina nga me and my bestfriend meet up, she just accompany me to buy a birthday gift for mom and happy stuff from NBS.

It’s Sunday and,

CURRENTLY

Reading

The Bubble Bible by Michael V.!!! Superb! Lakas maka-goodvibes. This book is really giving me a good laugh. This book is actually a compilation of Bitoy’s characters in Bubble Gang, and Tata Lino is my favorite. Hihi

Writing
my sunday currently edition 07.

Listening
To Lifehouse’s Hanging By A Moment. This past few days Lifehouse is invading my playlist. I just love listening to their songs especially Broken, Whatever it Takes and Take me Away. Sarap lang pakinggan.

Thinking
Pano ba magpapayat? Pano ba pumayat? Pano ba mag-diet? Those are what I’m thinking right now. Hindi naman ako sobrang taba talaga, chubby lang, it’s just that gusto ko lang lumiit ang tummy ko hahaha (artiii) I’m thinking na every weekdays before ako matulog, mag-exercise ako and then pag weekend naman, pagkagising, exercise din…… pero wala e, di ko maachieve. *sigh*

Wishing
For a possible vacation leave on the 28th, Saturday. Pretty please!!!

Hoping
For world peace (seriously speaking), the world is totally messed up, bombings in Lebanon, terror attacks in Paris, quake in Japan, in times like these, we can’t do anything but to pray. To pray and to hope for the restoration of humanity. Violence should stop.

Wearing
pajamas and old sportsfest shirt. Ready na para sa borlogs.

Loving
Preview Magazine November issue, mainly because Alden and Maine is in the cover. Fantastic Baby!!!!

Wanting
Tuna pesto. Been craving for that since Saturday :(((

Needing
A good massage. My back is starting to ache again, probably because of my scoliosis.

Feeling
Inspired kasi malapit na mag-Pasko. Bawal na dapat mastress. Dapat pure chill lang. Hoho

My Sunday, everyone. God bless!

40 Tips For A Better Life Everyday

Way back 2008 when we had our practicum, one of our seniors handed us a paper that says ’40 Tips For A Better Life Everyday’, I don’t know, maybe he found it online, but it’s very useful and inspiring. And last night, I just found this piece of paper again. Let me share what’s in it.

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk everyday. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.
3. Buy a DVR and tape your late nigjt shows and get more sleep.
4. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, ‘My purpose is to ____________ today.’
5. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy.
6. Play more games and read more books than you did in 2007.
7. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, tai chi and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
8. Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.
9. Dream more while you are awake.
10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
11. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds and walnuts.
12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
13. Clear clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.
14. Don’t waste time your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems ate simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like an algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
16. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.
17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.
18. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
20. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
22. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
23. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
25. Frame every so called disaster with these words: ‘In five years, will this matter?’
26. Forgive everyone for everything.
27. What other people think of you is none of your business.
28. GOD heals almost everything.
29. However good or bad a sitiation is, it will change.
30. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
31. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
32. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
33. The best is yet  come.
34. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
35. Do the right thing.
36. Call your family often. (Or email the to death!!)
37. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am thankful for ____________. Today I accomplished _______.
38. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
39. Enjoy the ride. Remember this is not Disney World and you certainly don’t want a fast pass. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.
40. Please forward this to everyone you care about.

I bet if we can just follow all these, we can enjoy and appreciate life more fully. We can be happier. We can have a life that is worth living.

So to someone reading this, I hope it motivates you the way it motivates me.

The One That Got Away

I visited Nikki Mendoza Catalan’s blog and I found this article. And I want to share this to every hopeless romantic, to every people who believes in forever, to every people who believes in second chances and to every people who has the one that got away.

THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY

Source: The Manila Times
By: Mark J. Macapagal

In your life, you’ll make note of a lot of people. Ones with whom you shared something special, ones who will always mean something. There’s the one you first kissed, the one you first loved, the one you lost your virginity to, the one you put on a pedestal, the one you’re with…and the one that got away.

Who is the one that got away? I guess it’s that person with who everything was great, everything was perfect, but the timing was just wrong. There was no fault in the person, there was no flaw in the chemistry, but the cards just didn’t fall the right way, I suppose.

I believe in the fact that ending up with someone, finding a longtime partner that is, does not lie merely in the other person. I can actually argue that an equal part, or maybe even the greater part, has to do with the matter of timing. It has to do with you being ready to settle down and commit to someone in a way that goes beyond the little niceties of giddy romance.

How often have you gone through it without even realizing it? When you’re not ready to commit in that mature manner, it doesn’t matter who you’re with, it just doesn’t work. Small problems become big; inconsequentials become dealbreakers simply because you’re not ready and it shows. It’s not that you and the person you’re with are no good; it’s just that it’s not yet right, and little things become the flashpoint of that fact.

Then one day you’re ready. You really are. And when this happens you’ll be ready to settle down with someone. He or she may not be the most perfect, they might not be the brightest star of romance to ever have burned in your life, but it’ll work because you’re ready. It’ll work because it’s the right time and you’ll make it work. And it’ll make sense, it really will.

So that day comes when you’re finally making sense of things, and you find yourself to be a different person. Things are different, your approach is different, you finally understand who you are and what you want, and you’ve become ready because the time has truly arrived. And mind you, there’s no telling when this day will come. Hopefully you’re single but you could be in a long-term relationship, you could be married with three kids, it doesn’t matter.

All you know is that you’ve changed, and for some reason, the one that got away, is the first person you think about.

You’ll think about them because you’ll wonder, “What if they were here today?” You’ll wonder, “What if we were together now, with me as I am and not as I was?”. That’s what the one that got away is. The biggest “What if?” you’ll have in your life.

If you’re married, you’ll just have to accept the fact that the one that got away, got away. Believe me, nomatter how fairy tale you think your marriage is, this can happen to the best of us. But hopefully you’re mature enough to realize that you’re already with the one you’re with and this is just another test of your commitment, one which will just strengthen your marriage when you get past it. Sure, you’ll think about him/her every so often, but it’s alright. It’s never nice to live with a “might have been,” but it happens.

Maybe the one that got away is the one who’s already married. In which case it’s the same thing. You just have to accept and know that your memories of that person will probably bring a nice little smile to your lips in the future when you’re old and gray and reminiscing. But if neither of that is the case, then it’s different. What do you do if it’s not yet too late? Simple…find him, find her. Because the very existence of a “one that got away” means that you’ll always wonder, what if you got that one?

Ask him out to coffee, ask her out to a movie, it doesn’t matter if you’ve dropped in from out of nowhere. You’d be surprised, you just might be “the one that got away” as well for the person who is your “the one that got away.”

You might drop in from out of nowhere and it won’t make a difference.

If the timing is finally right, it’ll all just fall into place somehow and you know, I’m thinking, it would be a great feeling in the end, to be able to say to someone, “Hey you, you’re the one that almost got away.” =)

Malaki kasi talaga ang atraso sakin ng ‘the one that got away’ ko. 😁😁 After I read this article, I guess ito na yung saktong sagot sa random thought na “What will you do if the one that got away came back?” If it’s not yet too late, if you’re both single, then give each other’s a chance, give it a try. Who knows this is the right time for you to create your own version of forever. But, if you’re already committed and happy with the one you’re with right now, then accept the fact that the one that got away, got away. Simple. Let go. And let it just be a good memory.

Siya lang naman ang unang pumasok sa isipan ko when I heard of this so called the one that got away. Siya lang naman ang biggest ‘what if’ ko. What if I take that chance to be him, ano na kaya kami ngayon? What if I take the risk to be him, masaya kaya kami? Those endless what ifs!

Basta all I know, when the time comes na nagkita na ulit kami ni ‘the one that got away’ ready na ko. ☺

the sunday currently | 06

Wow. Time flies really fast! November na!!! Konting kembot na lang, bagong taon na ulit. ☺ These past few days, a lot of thoughts are raging in my head. Sa sobrang dami ng gusto kong sabihin, di ko alam kung san ako magsisimula. Anyhow, since it’s the first of November and it is Sunday, I came up with this.

CURRENTLY

Reading none of the moment. I’m still waiting to ‘See Me’, the latest masterpiece of Nicholas Sparks to become available here in the Philippines.

Writing my sunday currently edition 06!

Listening to the ticking of the clock. I’m the only one awake in our house so all I can hear is just that… tic-toc tic-toc…

Thinking how to manage my time well, you know, time for social media like twitter, instagram and facebook, time for blogging, time for a little exercise and to be engaged in physical activity, time to be productive in the house like doing some chores, yes, time management para balanse lahat.

Wishing for a wonderful November, less stress, less worries.

Hoping for a healthier living. I’d really love to have some exercise, stretching, and of course eating healthy foods. Less meat, more fruits and vegetables. And no to fast foods. Please!!!!!

Wearing pajamas and old sportsfest shirt. Comfy as ever!

Wanting a very good sleep and massage. Sleep and massage. Again, sleep and massage.

Needing a vacation. A week at least, far from all of this. Far from the city life. Far from the workplace. Hihi

Feeling happy. Though di naman smooth lahat, still masaya pa din.

Another Sunday is about to end and I think naging productive naman ako today! Haha

Happy Sunday! God bless!
